This release is mainly a rewrite of existing features and some newer ones on top of a minor visual refresh.

Updated the Google Maps version used, this newer version allows for better touch-based navigation (pinch-to-zoom etc) for compatible devices

Brand new custom drawn map pins now shows the station’s brand

Toggle to switch between compact or fill-window maps: stretches to use most of the available width/height of your browser window. Coupled with the more touch-friendly Google Maps the fill-window maps looks & acts wonderfully even on an iPad

Reformatted the content of the station info popup box and added 14-day trend charts

The trend chart is a reconciliation of a feature we’ve always had in the iPhone web app, newly reengineered and conveniently placed for map-based interactions to help you visualize the station’s fuel price cycle and determine whether it’s a cheap day to fill up there.

Head on over to the site to try out the new features for yourself, the new site works on any modern browser (Google Chrome, Apple Safari, Firefox, IE7+).

As always if there are any quirkiness please feel free to send me a note from the feedback form. Enjoy!

Note: If you’re on Internet Explorer 6.0 there might be some minor quirks & fill-window maps is disabled, for the full experience you should update to a newer IE or switch to any of the other good & free modern browsers such as Google Chrome.

http://blog.wafuelfinder.com

http://blog.wafuelfinder.com:
This is the new home for WA Fuel Finder announcements, the old blog is archived over at the old URL
